The Board runs six Holiday Homes as a part of Labour Welfare Schemes at Darjeeling, Digha, Bakkhali, Puri, Gangtok, and Haldia. The Holiday Home at Haldia is, however, at present dysfunctional. Holiday Homes at Darjeeling, Digha, and Bakkhali are owned and maintained by the Board. Holiday Homes at Puri and Gangtok are in rented lodge/hotel. Holiday Homes are meant for the workers and their family members to enjoy the holidays. The workers can book the seats/rooms of the Holiday Homes at a very nominal rent mentioned below. The Holiday Homes, though are basically for workers, are opened for others also.
There is an auditorium with each model labour welfare centre. The largest auditorium with a sitting capacity of 700 persons is attached to the head quarter of the Board in Kolkata. The auditoria are basically meant for the workers or their representing trade union so that they may use it at a very nominal rate for holding social and cultural function in it. The auditoria can also be hired by Government or non-Government organizations for social, cultural or official function.
